Well

It seems like everyone is all roused by Ike. I haven’t put much thought into it. Jen brought home all this food that WFM was going toss out. Things like blackberries and blueberries and soups, figs, just tons of free delicious food. That job has its perks. All of that will come in handy since we have gone Vegan. I did cheat today and had cheese but other than that, we’re pretty much set. She’s been vegan two or three days longer than me but I’ll catch up. It’s not that big of a change since we were already vegetarian. More on that later.
Both my brothers called me to make small talk and try to convince me to head out of town. When Rita came to town, we decided to stay until the last minute then got stuck in that miserable mess of traffic. We were in a Ford Taurus [...]

The Bike Guy

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by on 12-09-2008

Last weekend I was at my brother’s house for a family get together. During the meal, my brother’s brother-in-law came up to me and asked, “you’re the bike guy, right?” First off, I definitely don’t consider myself the authority when it comes to bikes or cycling, but I have done my fair share, so I said, “yeah, I guess so.”
He continued, “So, I’ve been thinking about getting into cycling. Maybe commuting to work on a bike.” This is the best part of being “the bike guy.” Perhaps you know what I mean. If you enjoy riding bikes and have done so for enough time, it doesn’t take long before people begin to ask questions.
The difficult part of being “the bike guy” is curbing your enthusiasm enough so you can really help the person you’re talking to. Having some practice in these conversations, I think I was able to accurately guage [...]

Richmond.com: Bike Theft

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by on 11-09-2008

Bike theft has become a huge problem in Richmond lately, well, compared to what it used to be.  We’re still better off than bigger cities, but with more and more kids coming to college here each year and the popularity of commuting by bike taking off, there’s more people on bikes which means more people being careless about locking them up.  I felt the best thing I could personally do is write something, so I did, and it’s over at Richmond.com  CLICK HERE TO READ! thanks

The creeks coming off the foothills of the mountains for natural routes to place bike trails. Boulder has done an excellent job making use of these. This is a small section of the Boulder Creek Trail just east of 28th Street.

LADY MARA aka GRIGINA

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by on 11-09-2008

Pro

ha la lucina che funziona
non è una mountain bike
ha il campanello che funziona
il sellino è comodo
è GRIGIA (e io ho un debole per le biciclette grigie)
fa trrrtrtrtttt quando lascio i pedali
i freni funzionano bene

CONTRO:

ha le ruote un pò spaccate
non ha il cavalletto ma chissene
fa uno strano fischio quando pedalo

Comunque, è oltre le aspettative, il karma esiste e questa ne è la prova.

STEP 2. “A journey I intend to take”

Well, for me I think a righteous trip for me to take, would have to be for me to go to Norway. This would be cool for three reasons: One of my favorite musig Genres comes from there. Second,  Its freezing there, i love cold. And lastly Its my heritage, my fathers side of the family is from Norway.
Black Metal is some of the most fun stuff to listen to. My favorite Black metal group is Dimmu Borgir, they originated from Norway, so i think it would just be fun to go to where they started.
Second, its cold there. I am from Norway, well at least my ancestors were. So my genes are used to the cold. i find cold to be much more soothing than hot. When you’re hot its very hard to cool yourself down, but when you’re cool, just put on a [...]

Be accident aware on your bike

Susannah Hickling
The Observer, Sunday September 7 2008
As the cost of petrol blows an ever-bigger hole in our bank accounts, more of us are hopping on to bicycles instead.
Sales at Halfords, one of Britain’s biggest bicycle vendors, improved 7.2 per cent last year; cycling is on the rise in most cities and increased in London alone by 91 per cent in the past 12 months; and the government is wedded to encouraging pedal power nationwide as a way of getting fit, beating the traffic and bringing down carbon emissions.
In fact, there’s so much going for cycling that people are increasingly inclined to ignore the dangers and how much an accident could cost them. According to accident prevention charity RoSPA, about 16,000 cyclists were injured in 2006, the latest year for which figures are available, but between 60 and 90 per cent of incidents go unreported.

The light at the end of a long tunnel!

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by on 11-09-2008

I can hardly believe that we are approaching mid September, which means that in just over 1 month, it will have been 1 year since I started my whole weight loss journey…and what a journey it has been!  There were times where I felt it was long and that it would take forever to reach my goal, but now that I am only 8 lbs away from my goal, I feel like it actually went pretty fast.  It’s nice to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Throughout this whole process I’ve gone through so many emotions and I continually discovered some strengths in me that I never knew I had.  Just the discipline and hard work it took to lose all this weight and to stick to my program was such a challenge, but I never backed down, and even though there were times when it was really difficult [...]

Peraturan Waktu Mau Belok

Semoga bermanfaat..,
